THE VETS

Dr Sven Arp BVSc

Dr Arp joined Olivedale Vet in 1990 and is a partner in the business. He is an avid wildlife photographer and loves the Kruger National Park. Pets include Muesli, Downey, Peaches and Kitty Friend.

Dr Raimund Schutte BVSc

Dr Schutte joined Olivedale Vet in 1996 and is also a partner in the business. He has an interest in Small Animal Medicine and when not at work he may be found wondering in a jungle somewhere. Feel free to ask him any questions on botany or entomology, he no doubt will have the answers!

Dr Chesney Pillai BVSc

Dr. Pillai graduated from Onderstepoort in 2019 and joined Olivedale Vet in March 2023. She enjoys working with small and large animals alike, and spends all her free time with her two furbabies, Hiccup and Strider.

Dr Micaela Pather BVSc

Dr Pather completed her degree at the University of Pretoria and graduated in the class of 2019. She joined Olivedale Vet in June 2023 after working in veterinary radiology. She has a keen interest in exotics, nutrition and diagnostic imaging. Her life is run by her ginger boy Bogie, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Dr.Tayla Venter BVSc

Dr.Tayla Venter qualified in 2017 and joined Olivedale Vet in November 2025. She enjoys running and swimming and has 5 dogs and 4 cats of her own. Her special interest lies in surgery.
